The bar is proudly owned by a person of color, and the team is dedicated to creating a space where ALL are welcome. There have been some false claims floating around, but let’s set the record straight—REBAR is an inclusive space that embraces the LGBTQ community in all its diversity. The new ownership is focused on making positive changes, bringing people together, and ensuring everyone has a great time. Whether you’re here for a night out with friends, a fun drag show, or just good vibes and great drinks, REBAR delivers every time. Cool place, very accommodating, and friendly staff. We got here early ish on the weekend and it was pretty dead...which wasn't a bad thing. Bartender was from Columbia and very handsome / friendly. Thanks REBAR!

I attended “Friendsgiving” at REBAR on November 25, 2024. Wow, it was an incredible experience with delicious Thanksgiving main course favorites, as well as extraordinary assorted desserts. I have attended 5 of these festive food extravaganzas. It was a nice turnout and we all had a blast. A special thanks to co-owners “The two Michaels” and Juan. Also a special thank you to chef Ron and delightful bartender Chevy. I have attached photos here for you to get a feel for this year’s “Friendsgiving.”

Good vibe, stiff affordable drinks, and friendly staff. It usually doesn’t get busy until after happy hour ends at nine making it a great place to sit down for a lil bit before dancing all night. Music is dance hits mashups which I love but isn’t for everyone.

What a gorgeous space! GREAT sound system! Fun crowd! What I am most impressed with is the staff at Rebar. I have worked at many clubs and bars DJing in NYC. I have never met a warmer or friendlier staff than the staff at Rebar.

On Thursdays at REBAR (225 W19 Street) from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, The Richard Cortez Band performs with Richard singing jazz classics from the Great American Songbook, highlighting songs composed by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Hoagy Carmichael, Stephen Sondheim and many more. A very enjoyable way to spend an evening in Chelsea.

I love this place! The go-gos are phenomenal, the DJ’s always set the best vibe and there is typically an incredible photog running around capturing the best moments of the night! Serkan is one of my fav bartenders in the city, look for him on the weekends! He keeps the vibes high and the drinks full! It’s so great to have a truly fun gay bar in the city with a killer dancefloor! You cannot have a bad night at REBAR.
